C.N.R. Rao Education Foundation and Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research Invited nominations for Outstanding Science Teachers Awards 2018 to recognize the Pre-University and High School Science teachers who have made remarkable contributions in Science teaching and Science popularization activities and for society. Interested and eligible Science Teachers Can submit there application form before Last date for receipt of nomination forms: March 31, 2019 The prize will be awarded in June 2019.
OBJECTIVES AND ELIGIBILITY
- The objective of this prize is to honour dedicated science teachers who inspire students to take up science as a career and who have made significant efforts in popularizing science among the public.
- This annual prize is in recognition of the science teachers who have exhibited innovative science teaching methods.
- The applicants should be teachers of Pre-University Colleges or High Schools. Those who are retired are also eligible to apply subject to the condition that they fulfill other criteria.
- Outstanding and inspirational teaching in stream of Science.
- Inspiring student beyond the classroom by supporting high quality extra-curricular learning opportunities both in and outside of the classroom setting
- Delivering inspirational training for colleagues to share best practice in the teaching of Science and spreading their enthusiasm for the subject
- Influencing the teaching and learning of Science beyond their own institution in other educational settings or in public
DETAILS OF THE AWARD
The awardee will be given a cash prize along with a Citation.
MODE OF SELECTION
The award will be selected based on the recommendations of a Committee constituted for this purpose and approval of the Competent Authority.
