ICGEB - short term fellowship 

SMART scheme - scientific mobility for advanced research for training program are conducted for Msc. candidates, young researchers with backgraound in life science are eligible to apply for this ICGGB short- term fellowship.

closing date for application 31 march ,30 sep , 31 december.




  • Aim -:
     The fellowship promotes the mobility of researcher involving the ICGB member states as a way of enhancing skill development, acquistition of specific hands on training in new technologiest and increasing bilateral cooperation in science and technology and it should show clear evidence of strong collaboration between the two laboratories.
       

  • subject area -: 
             Application are welcome in any area of the life science.


  • Qualification -:
 - There is absolutely no age limitation preference is awarded to young scienticst at the state of their research career

- young scientist holding on msc or equivalent can apply .

- fellowship for mobility assitance to laboraties located in Itly, india and south africa could be considered in the event reserch activity proposed isn't covered by one of those ICGB labs ( please visit ICGB Arturs falanchi - short term fellowship )

- SMRT fellowship support mobity between labs situated in the members states.

- The application is open to national of ICGB member state and it provides fellowship of scientist at the first phase of their career invite between 3 and 9 month in reserch institution within an ICGB member state other than their own.


  • Terms and condition -:

- The fellowship stipend will be paid by bank transfer directly to the individuals bank accounts

- Awards are for a minimum of 3 to a maximum of 9 months.

- the fellowship covers global economy return journey, healthbinsurance and subsistence of this fellow only.

- the stipend ranges from US$ 800 to 1,500 a month based on local condition in the receving country and seniority of the  applicant.

- furthermore , US$ 500 monthly bench fee could be paid directly to the receveing lab.

  • selection process -:  


-The key criteria for selection include scienticic excellence of this project quality & acceptation of the candidate CV and also the influence on his / her career, the possible advantage for the home and host country equipment available from the receving lab.

- The ICGB fellowship selection committe will evaluate complete application received by the closing date.

- The candidates will be inform the result by email.
