National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute (NABI) is the first Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute, established in India on 18th February 2010. The institute aims at catalysing the transformation of Agri-food sector in India.  The institute has the vision to be a nodal organization for knowledge generation and translational science leading to value-added products based on Agri-Food biotech innovations. The main research focus of NABI is to harness biotechnological tools in the area of Agriculture Biotechnology, Food and Nutritional Biotechnology so as to provide sustainable and novel solutions towards quality food and nutrition. NABI invited application for the position of research fellow and senior research fellowship . #job position 01 : project fellow


Job title : project fellow

No. Of posts : 01

Project title : prophylactic health products of plant and vegetables and there degradation by gut microbial communities glycomics and proteomics approaches.

Principal Investigator : Dr. Ravindra Pal Singh.

Sponsored by : DST-SERB Government of India.

Project duration : One year extendable

Age limit : candidates age not exceeding than 28 years.

Essential qualifications :  Candidates must have completed Msc in biotechnology, microbiology, biochemistry or B. Tech or M.Tech in biotechnology candidates are eligible for the research fellow position.

Stipend : selected candidates get monthly stipend of Rs. 10,000/- per month plus HRA as per government rules.

Job title : Senior research fellowship

No.  Of posts :  one position

Project title : Senior research fellowship in project utilising genome editing tool for nutritional improvement in wheat.

Principal investigator : Ajay K Pandey.

Project duration : up-to 16th June 2020 

Stipend : selected candidates get monthly stipend of Rs. 28,000/- plus HRA as per government rules and regulations.

Age limit : Not exceeding more than 32 years.

Essential qualifications : Post graduate degree in basic sciences with NET qualifications or graduate degree in professional course are eligible to apply for the senior research fellowship position.

All interested candidates may appear for Walk-inInterview at National  Agri-Food Biotechnology  Institute located at  Knowledge city,  Sector-81, Mohali- 140306, Punjab on 26th November,2018 (Monday) at 09:00 AM along-with the duly filled  application form available on the website www.nabi.res.in The duly filled application form must be submitted at the time of registration at NABI  from 09:00 AM to 10:00 AM on 26th November, 2018. The candidates must ascertain their eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates will not be  interviewed. All the candidates are  requested to appear for the interview with full CV, thesis/project report,  experience certificates, publications and original degree certificates and transcripts. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the  interview. Canvassing in any form or bringing influence, political or otherwise,  will lead to disqualification of the candidate.
