Project title : “Development of a stable and inducible CRISPR-Cas9 system for high- throughput site-specific genome editing in Plasmodium falciparum”

Minimum educational 
Qualification :

M. Sc. / M. Tech in Life Sciences from a recognized University / Institute with minimum 65% marks / equivalent grade and with first class academic record. If needed, additional percentage cut-off will be applied during the screening process.
Desirable A strong interest in parasitology is desired.

Preference Candidates with hands on experience with Plasmodium
and basic molecular biology techniques, handling of mouse and practical experience in cell culture experiments, gene cloning, assay development and protein purification will be preferred.

Tenure of the appointment Initially for a period of one year, extendable for further
period subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and continuation of the project.

Consolidated emoluments :

1) Project Assistant – Rs. 16,000 + 30% HRA per month.

2) Project Fellow (JRF) - Rs. 25,000/- + 30% HRA per
month for candidate with valid CSIR-NET/GATE or

1. The appointment is purely temporary and will terminate automatically without any notice or compensation on termination of the project.

2. The qualification prescribed should have been obtained from recognized Universities / Institutions.

3. No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing for the interview.
